Big Ben's Locksmith is a local LaCrosse, WI, business manned by me, Ben! After several years of working in other local lock shops, I decided it was time to take my expansive knowledge of the industry and start my own comprehensive Locksmith business.  Though continuous training, I enjoy learning about new hardware and techniques that I can bring to our area.

My name is Ben Kolpitcke. I am a nationally registered locksmith. When I was 14 years old, I walked into a local lock shop with my dad to get a couple of house keys made. While in the shop, the owner asked if I would be interested in earning a little money by cleaning out his vans and helping in the shop. After more than 20 years of working at three family-owned lockshops, University and Walt Disney World, I decided to go into business for myself.

Why I Do It

I enjoy working as a locksmith because of the different challenges people bring to me, including repairing and replacing locks and keys, as well as solving security concerns. I have taken several locksmith courses, and have attended training sessions to keep up with the newest technologies and better understand where the industry is heading. By learning and understanding new products and techniques, I can bring new ideas to our area.
